PS3 Users Only Play Games Half The Time

A Nielsen survey has suggested that most of the time people spend on their PlayStation 3's isn't actually spent playing games. In fact users, on average, only spend 49 percent of their time doing this.

The remaining 51 percent is spent predominately watching Blu-Rays or DVDs, using streaming services or using the internet.

This is rather different to the Xbox 360, where users spend 62 percent of their time gaming and the Wii, where they spend 69 percent gaming.

However, those observant amongst us will realise that the comparisons are a bit bogus as firstly, the Xbox 360 doesn't contain a Blu-Ray drive and secondly, the Wii can't play either Blu-Rays or DVDs.
