Nintendo has officially announced that the Nintendo 3DS' eShop won't available when the console ships in March - something which has been severely unclear in the past week or so.

The news came from Nintendo's third quarter financial results briefing, as Nintendo president Satoru Iwata stated the the 3DS' online shop will be made available in May.

The May update, which will be the first major update planned for the console, will also include an internet browser and the ability for DSi owners to transfer their DSiWare over to their 3DS.
