Valve has revealed that Portal 2 will feature cross-platform play between PC, Mac and PS3 upon release this April! Are you excited? Because I'm pretty sure I need to change my pants.

That's not all, in addition to cross-platform play, other features also include cross-platform voice chat and cloud-based storage for PS3 game saves. Valve is also including a copy of Steam Play with every PS3 copy. This means that if you own the PS3 version, you have a key for both PC and Mac versions of the game!

"We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 would be the best console version of the product," said Valve's Gabe Newell.

"Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases."

Portal 2 is out April 18 in North America and April 22 in Europe for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.
