Capcom DRM Returns To PS3

Capcom's controversial DRM has made a ninja return with Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. The little bugger was first spotted by a NeoGaf poster.

The PSN description of the game apparently described that "You must log-in to the PlayStation Network each time to play the game."

Unlike Ubisoft's even more controversial DRM, Capcom's isn't always on and will only check for a connection upon boot up. It won't kick you off if you lose connection part way through you session either. However, it is still a frustrating issue for many players whose PS3 aren't connected to the internet.

What's interesting is that Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is an offline-only title, suggesting that perhaps Capcom is worried about piracy since the PS3 has been cracked wide open - but, as Edge notes, the encryption for PSN games has yet to be hacked.
