EA has revealed in their latest earnings call that they will be releasing a "very excited" first-person shooter by the end of this year. And this will compliment the releases of both Bulletstorm and Crysis 2.
The answer was fielded in response to an investor's question about the future of the Medal of Honor franchise.
"We've made strong progress in calendar '10 over calendar '09. This year, with the tail-end of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 still doing well and Medal of Honor still doing well... with Crysis and Bulletstorm we're clearly going to make more progress towards our goal and that's before we get to what I think is going to be a very exciting entry later in the year that we're not yet announcing," said John Riccitiello, CEO of EA.
While he was tight-lipped about the title, there have been many many rumours about the impending release of Battlefield 3. This could well be the year that we see it.
