Late last month, we posted an article about Chime Super Deluxe coming to PSN, with more information about the game coming in the following months, according to the developers. Today, we have our first update.
The game can be best explained as a mix between Tetris and Lumines, where players aim to cover as much of the field as they can with blocks, unlocking music in the process. New to this version is the ability to play against a friend in a two-player multiplayer mode, although the developer isn't revealing exactly what's in store, only saying it allows players to "chime" together.
One of the new songs included in the PSN version is "Play With You", produced and mixed by Sabrepulse, aka Ashley Charles, a London based musician who creates Drum 'n' Bass, Electro and Electronic Dance music.
The second new song is "Machine Dream" from Nathan McCree, the composer and sound designer behind the first three Tomb Raider games, among numerous other video game classics. The third track is entitled "Symphony", which was originally used as a prototype and is being remixed for inclusion in Chime Super Deluxe.
Zoe Mode Entertainment currently has Chime Super Deluxe set for a Spring 2011 release exclusively on PlayStation Network.
