LG Looking To Ban PS3 Sales In United States

Korean technology company, LG, has filed with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) because they believe that Sony's PlayStation 3 and Bravia products are patent infringements of specific technology relating to Blu-ray playback.

LG is complaining that four of its patents are being abused, and stated that the complaint relates to "certain electronic devices having a Blu-ray Disc player and components thereof". PlayStation 3 CECH-2501A is specifically mentioned.

According to Bloomberg, the claims are LG's way of "paying back" Sony, after they filed similar complaints in December. In other words, it's a huge PR battle between the two companies.
