LG Wins Initial Battle, PS3 Shipments Seized By Customs

Recently it had been revealed that LG would be pursuing an injunction against Sony to stop them from selling PlayStation 3 consoles. The issue arose from a trademark issue revolving around Blu-ray technology.

The Guardian are now reporting that LG has partially succeeded, as they have been granted a preliminary injunction against Sony. What does this mean? European customs officers have seized shipments of PS3 Slims and will be holding them for at least 10 days.

Sony are frantically trying to get the ban overruled, but they could realistically run out of stock throughout Europe if LG manage to get the ban extended.
