Naughty Dog recently unveiled the new villain set to terrorize Nate and Sully in more ways than just brute force in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Katherine Marlowe, played by and bearing an uncanny resemblance to Rosaline Ayres, is described as a "coldly calculating leader of a secret society whose roots date back over four hundred years to the court of Queen Elizabeth I."

Lead designer Richard Lemarchand tells fans in an interview with PlayStation Blog that the new villain is a big departure from previous villains like the tank-like Lazarevic and scheming Navarro. Lemarchand also discusses the use of 3D, saying he's been a big fan of "stereoscopy" for a long time. He assures fans that even if they don't have a 3D supported screen yet, the improvements and optimizations made to the Naughty Dog engine to run 3D will still benefit them with smoother gameplay and amazing visual fidelity. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is out on November 1, later this year, exclusively on the PS3.
