According to THQ's vice president of core games, Danny Bilson, the company doesn't agree with the concept of focus testing - instead, they prefer to use their own judgement about products.
Speaking at the MI6 conference, Bilson said: "We don't test. What are 16 teenagers in Encino going to tell us that we don't know? If I ever get to the point where I need to ask what a 15 year old wants these days, it's time to go to the rest home. Because you're done."
Bilson is currently spearheading a massive overhaul of THQ, with Homefront being a testing bed for what's to be a future that focusses on new IP.
