The man who's supervising the development of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, has confessed that he believed Western developers would be lazy. Although he's been bold enough to admit his preconceptions were wrong.
When speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, Masachika Kawata said: "To be honest, I had my own impression about Western people - being laid back and sitting on sofas."
Shortly after working with Slant Six though, his opinion was changed. He went on to say: "But even yesterday they came in early, on a Sunday, and gave us all sorts of recommendations. They wanted to do it, rather than being dragged out of bed if you like. So they've completely changed my perception about working with Western developers."
At least his opinion has been rectified, but it's still rather worrying is this is a general consensus in Japan.
