Volition Inc. are now searching for a new leader, after the founder and president of the company, Mike Kulas, has decided to step down from his role after 15 years.

After being the co-founder of Parallax Software in 1993, Kulas went on to found Volition in 1997 after a company-wide split. The studio was then bought out by THQ and has created some of the industry's most known franchises, such as Red Faction and Saints Row.

Kulas stated that since Red Faction: Armageddon is now complete, and with Saints Row: The Third nearing the end of its development cycle, now was a good time for him to leave.

He didn't say what his next move would be, but he plans to look into making a new company after he's had some time away from the industry.
