Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter has been claiming Nintendo has been working on a Wii HD for years now, but he believes that should they announce it at this year's E3, then they've missed their perfect launch window.
"I think that the right time for a launch was in front of the launches of Kinect and Move, and think that Nintendo missed the 'perfect' time to launch in 2009," said Pachter.
"They could have launched at $300, and would have been competitive with Kinect and Move bundles and may have kept Wii households from upgrading to one of the other consoles," he continued.
Many rumours have been suggesting that Nintendo will announce their new console at this year's E3, with the current codename being 'Project Cafe'.
