Ubisoft's bringing Sam Fisher back in HD on the PS3 with the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell HD Collection, which includes the original Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. While the collection includes the usual visual upgrades, Trophy support and 3D, it appears that the games have been stripped of their multiplayer modes.

In response to questions and comments on the PlayStation Blog, Ubisoft's PR coordinator Alex Monney confirmed that "the online part of the original games won't be included." Even Chao Theory's co-op mode is gone, Monney confirmed saying, "Sorry no co-op will be included in the trilogy."

In addition, Monney added that the HD trilogy is based off the PC versions of the games "as they provided the best quality."
