With the recent release of Portal 2 and Steam on the PlayStation 3 and PC, Valve now believes that PS3 and PC users have become much closer than ever before.
Valve's Jeep Barnett states that while he felt that PS3 and PC gamers were previously in "two separate universes", now, they feel like "one big happy family."
Valve broke new ground with the release, as buying the PS3 version also entitled you to play the PC version for free - giving you a choice about which platform you wanted to play on. You could also play with any of your Steam buddies, whether they were on PS3 or PC and it's something they will utilise a lot more in the future.
