The lid has been well and truly lifted on the next installment into the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3, after Kotaku did the mother of all leaks.

The story will take place primarily in New York, Paris and London, but it will start exactly where Modern Warfare 2 left off. You'll again take control of multiple players from different factions, including a Russian Federal agent. Vehicular sections will also return and there will be two new "main" characters in Frost and Sandman. It's said that the story will wrap-up lose ends from Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2.

Multiplayer will return with even more maps (approximately 15), and two Spec Ops modes called Survival and Mission.

The game is also being co-developed between Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. The leak suggests the game will also launch on the 8th of November, 2011.
