Believe it or not, Blizzard will be launching an "external" beta for Diablo III in Q3 of this year. The game's easily one of the most anticipated titles from Blizzard outside of the next StarCraft II game.
Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime revealed in an investor call earlier today that they've started internal testing and are "currently targeting a Q3 launch for external beta testing."
He also stressed that Blizzard isn't at the point where they can reveal the game's release date. Although the company is hoping for a 2011 release.
"Our goal is to get there. But you know, at the end of the day, we are going to get it right. That's more important," said Blizzard's Executive Vice President of Game Design, Rob Pardo, back in February.
"We're going to promise, we're going to get it out there when it's awesome. And, we're crossing our fingers, maybe it will be this year."
