Square Enix has confirmed reports that hackers infiltrated their Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Eidos Montreal websites, stealing a ton of information in the process.
"Square Enix can confirm a group of hackers gained access to parts of our Eidosmontreal.com website as well as two of our product sites," Square Enix said.
They confirmed that 350 resumes had been stolen from the Eidos Montreal website, while 25,000 member email addresses were obtained from the product websites.
"We immediately took the sites offline to assess how this had happened and what had been accessed, then took further measures to increase the security of these and all of our websites, before allowing the sites to go live again," Square Enix continued.
Square Enix has stated that they will be vigilant in the future to prevent any further intrusions to their properties.
