Sony's PlayStation Portable continues to dominate Japanese hardware sales, as the console managed to ship another 55,000 during the country's Golden Week holiday period.

This was down compared to sales of the system last week, but the PSP was still easily ahead of Nintendo's latest offering, the Nintendo 3DS. The PS3 was also comfortably ahead of the Nintendo Wii, while the Xbox 360 only managed 3,400 units.

On the software side, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 Professional was the top selling game, with Patapon 3, Pro Baseball Spirits 2011 and Final Promise Story just behind.
