As of June 25, Call of Duty: Black Ops has become the highest selling video game title in UK history, smashing Modern Warfare 2's record by a mere 2001 units. According to data from UKIE, Black Ops had sold 3,722,411 units by June 25, only a little more than Modern Warfare 2 in a 30 week period.
"This is a terrific achievement for Activision and Treyarch, showing that established franchises continue to perform well and that the UK market remains strong," said UKIE commercial manager Sam Collins. "The result is all the more impressive given that it does not include digital sales, which would substantially increase the figure."
Treyarch have also released the latest DLC pack dubbed Annihilation, which runs at 1200 Microsoft Points and is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. No word on a PS3 or PC release yet, unsurprisingly.
