HMV Refusing Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D Trade-Ins

UK retailer HMV has declared that they will not be accepting any copies of the newly released Nintendo 3DS title, Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D for trade-in.

This follows the news that the game will not offer the functionality to clear save data, meaning any person who buys the game second-hand, won't be able to enjoy a fresh experience.

Other retailers, such as GAME and Gamestation are taking a softer stance and Capcom believe "customers in the UK will not experience a reduced second-hand value should they wish to trade in their purchase."
