The Sony Press Conference opened today with Jack Tretton, President of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), addressing the 'elephant in the room' and apologizing for the recent outage.

Tretton gave his appreciation to all those who supported Sony throughout the outage and apologized profusely for any anxiety that it might have caused any of the PlayStation consumers. He also addressed the journalists by saying 'You're Welcome' for all the controversy it brought them.

Aside from this though, Tretton insists that Sony is doing everything in its power to make PlayStation the best it can be and that even with the outage, Sony has increased its sales this year by 27 percent. It can only go up from here.
