Microsoft's press conference featured many of Kinect's capabilities and exclusive programs, one of which, Fun Labs, had the audience members really going.
Fun Labs will give avatar creation a very interesting upgrade as players can have themselves and their clothing transported into their games. The feature, Kinect Me, works by taking snapshots of players and attempts to adequately match the player's facial features. Along with that, there's a special 3D object scanning portion of Fun Labs where players can take carious snapshots of any object and create a 3-D replicate that players can move around and play with.
Finger Tracking is also a part of the Fun Labs experience as players can take snapshots of themselves, edit it, add various effects, and finally upload their photos to Kinectshare.com.
If interested in Fun Labs, there's no need to wait, as Fun Labs is now available for XBox 360 Kinect users today.
