Earlier this year, indie developer Mojang announced that they would be bringing the hugely successful PC game Minecraft to Apple's iPhone/iPad and Google's Android. Microsoft has just announced at their E3 2011 this morning that the game will be coming to Xbox Live later this year.
Minecraft is a open world game where players can build whatever they like in an effort to survive from the various monsters and traps that lie in wait. After being in alpha for over a year, the title has now reached beta status earlier this year and will be released in a finalized version at the end of the year.
Not much information was given about the title outside of the fact that it will support the Xbox 360's Kinect peripheral. Microsoft and Mojang currently have the title set for a Winter 2011 release on Xbox Live. It's currently unknown if the game will be single player-only or will have multiplayer functionality.
