Peter Molyneux has stated that Kinect has real problems when compared to other input devices, due to the fact it doesn't feature any buttons that players can use.
"I'll admit that Kinect has got some problems," said Molyneux when speaking to us at E3 2011. "As an input device it has some real problems. Without a thumb stick, navigation is a real problem. You haven't got any buttons, so ordering the player to do something can be somewhat of a problem."
However, Molyneux went on to say that with Fable: The Journey, they've geared it towards Kinect's strengths. "What Kinect does have is a great sense of freedom and emotion. So that's what we've tried to do with Fable: The Journey."
