During the latest annual shareholders meeting for Sony, Sir Howard Stringer faced questions about his right to continue on as the CEO of the Japanese company.

Stringer remained defiant though, and while he did accept that calls for his resignation were reasonable, he vowed to stay on see Sony through this dark time - they have made losses for three straight years.

In an effort to help, Stringer himself has taken a 15 percent pay-cut, which sees his yearly salary fall to $4.3 million. Vice Chairman Ryoji Chubachi and Executive Deputy President Kazuo Hirai also received pay decreases.
