Last week Atlus announced the release date for The King of Fighters XIII, the latest entry in the long-running franchise from SNK Playmore. The publisher has just announced that they will be bringing a playable build of the game at two conventions later this year.
The King of Fighters XIII is the latest entry in the long-running The King of Fighters franchise. Many of the fan-favorite characters, such as Mai who was surprisingly absent in KoF XII, will be available as well as the just recently announced Billy Kane from the Fatal Fury franchise who is exclusive to the console port.
In addition to prizes for participants at both EVO and Otakon, Atlus will be having a panel at EVO (Saturday, 7/30 at 10:00am PDT) with one of the development team's producers, giving fans a rare opportunity to ask the team directly their most pressing questions.
Atlus currently has the game pegged for a October 2011 release on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
