Sony has been declared the most valued brand in Asia according to a market research survey conducted by TNS. They beat out companies like Samsung, Panasonic, LG and Canon.

This will come as a surprise to many, considering the problems Sony has had recently throughout the hacking of the PlayStation Network. However, CEO Howard Stringer did claim that perception was on the up.

The survey was conducted by quizzing 3,300 people between the ages of 15 and 64. Other companies that ranked were Facebook (17th) and Twitter (60th).
