THQ have announced that a demo of their upcoming game, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine, will be available next week. More specifically, the demo will release on the Xbox 360 and PC on the 23rd of August, whilst the PS3 demo will be a day later on the 24th.

The Space Marine demo will consist of two levels from the game. The first is a battle with the Orke horde outside a munitions factory, a perfect setting for introducing players to the mix of melee and ranged combat. The second level lets players take flight with the game's Jump Pack to allow the main hero, Captain Titus, to 'rain death from above'.

Six weapons will be available throughout the demo, including the standard issue Bolter and the deadly Chainsword though no other details on weapons or abilities were given.

THQ's press release also states that those who pre-ordered with Steam will have the privilege to try the demo out on the 18th of August before anyone else. And if that wasn't enough, Steam will also be offering a sale on Warhammer 40,000 bundles.
