Gameloft have announced plans to release all iOS titles universally so as not to leave iPad gamers waiting long periods of time for an HD port of the same title. In an interview with Pocket Gamer, Gameloft Marketing and PR Manager, Gregory Wintgens said that they plan "to release everything as Universal." However, this does come at a price.
In order to make this possible, Gameloft will be getting rid of HD versions of their games, a decision that was also based on consumer feedback. In addition, there may be occasions where licensing will prevent making this new initiative possible.
On the bright side, at least iPad users won't have to worry about later release dates for apps and games iPhone users readily enjoy.
