Despite the RRP for tomorrow's Nintendo 3DS price cut expected to be £140, some UK retailers have immitated the price-war at launch by cutting the price by much more extreme margins.

Supermarkets Morrisons and Tesco are going head to head, with Morrisons selling the console for £120 and Tesco selling it for £115. There have also be cuts to the price of games, which will be selling for £25 or under in Morrisons.

As much as Nintendo won't like the comparison this has similarities to the fate of the Nintendo Gamecube, where retailers slashed the price of the console considerably.
