Ninja Theory, the development studio behind 2010's Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, has completely ruled out working on a sequel to the game.
"Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time," said Tameem Antoniades of Ninja Theory.
"Because that didn't happen we've not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we've remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC," he continued.
DmC in itself is a big risk, with Capcom giving Ninja Theory full licence to change the shape of the franchise.
