After a brief, mysterious blackout it appears that the PlayStation Network is up and running once again. Reports came in earlier that the blackout had prevented users from accessing the network or playing online altogether.
"The PSN restoration is now complete and you should all be able to sign in. Again, sincere apologies for the inconvenience," reads the latest tweet on the PlayStation EU feed.
Sony had quickly issued a statement saying that they were aware of the issue when it had cropped up and that they were "working with the technicians to find out when it will be restored" before releasing another update with an ETA on when the network would be back online.
