Photographs of the Skyrim manual have been leaked and with that a ton of information has now been confirmed about some unreleased information about Skyrim's gameplay including but not limited to hirelings, people who are hired to fight along side you.
Each of the hirelings will have their own form of combat and will be able to receive and carry out orders such as wait, use item, attack, pick up item, or open item. Friends can also join in and fight alongside you. A new 'cooking' skill has also been revealed which players will be able to upgrade in order to make different types of food using ingredients found around Skyrim. Depending on what a player cooks, it will provide different types of temporary status effects. Some information on the jailing system has also been revealed. If you commit a crime, a bounty will be placed on your head. The amount of the bounty will, of course, depend on the crime committed and in order to save your name, you will have to kill all witnesses involved. If caught though, you will have to remain in jail which will cause you to lose some skill increases.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be released on 11 November 2011 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
