Following plenty of other games that have gone the HD remake route, the notoriously naughty, Leisure Suit Larry series will now be getting an makeover thanks to Replay Games.
Replay Game's chief executive, Paul Trowe, has apparently wanted the rights to the series for nearly 10 years and now that he finally has them, Replay Games will be remaking the first game of the series, Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards. The original creator, Al Lowe will be involved in the development as well. "My goal is to make it funny, and there is a sore lack of humor today in video games," he said. Replay Games has also promised to include some nostalgia for gamers who had grown up with the game. This includes odes to the classic point and click title, The Secret of Monkey Island.
The first of the Leisure Suit Larry HD remakes should be out sometime in the fourth quarter of 2012 and will be developed by Adnventure Mob. No word on which platforms the game will be released on specifically, however, Replay Games has rights to many of the digital distribution outlets including but not limited to Steam, XBLA, and PSN.
