Publisher XSEED Games have announced that their upcoming Wii title Fishing Resort will be released in two distinct versions, with one including a special fishing rod controller built specifically for the game.
In Fishing Resort, players are put in control of their own island vacation and free to do as they please "“ get up early in the morning and try to grab massive fish in the deep sea, or rent a bicycle and travel to a remote lagoon. With over 20 fish-related mini games and over 200 varieties of fish available "“ not to mention four-player competitive modes and online leaderboards, which show players how they stack up against other anglers around the world "“ there's plenty of content for both casual players and completionists alike.
The fishing rod attachment, which was built specifically for the game, attaches the Wii Remote to the "fishing rod" on the right and the Nunchuck to the "reel" on the left to help simulate the motions of a real catch, which will be helpful in catching the over 200 different types of fish which populate Fishing Resort's island.
XSEED Games will be releasing Fishing Resort on the Nintendo Wii in time for this year's holiday season. The bundled version with the fishing rod attachment will retail for $29.99 while the standalone version will retail for a nice budget price of $19.99.
