Google has revealed that its internet browser, Google Chrome, will be receiving an update next year to allow for gamepad support.

The announcement was made at Develop Liverpool by Paul Kinlan, a Google executive. He revealed that the software giant will also be adding support for webcams, microphones and the voice chat application WebRTC.

Google has begun to take gaming much more seriously this year, especially with the launch of the Chrome App Store. Angry Birds is a free download, but there are tons of other games available to play in the browser.
