Hollywood: Assassin's Creed Movie Will Fail

Although video game movies are constantly slammed by fans for being highly inaccurate, Hollywood 'insiders' believe that Ubisoft's choice to be completely in control of all decisions made towards the Assassin's Creed film is entirely ridiculous.

Thus far DreamWorks, Universal, and Warner Bros have alledgedly dropped out of the project due to Ubisoft's ownership. Vulture, a site dedicated to movies, claimed that no company has ever demanded quite as much as Ubisoft has. One studio chief said that because Ubisoft wished to have the ability to pull a plug on a project whenever, that it's ridiculous.

Some believe that Ubisoft's overbearing control is in response to the performance of the Prince of Persia film which came out last year. The movie had almost nothing to do with the original story of The Sands of Time and Ubisoft believed that this was a piece of the reason it did not do as well as it should have. Although Assassin's Creed: Lineage, a film that Ubisoft had much more control over, was met with favorable reviews from fans of the game.

No word on when this film will be released, however, keep a look out for Assassin's Creed: Revelations which comes out November 15 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
