While Nintendo's new Zelda underwhelmed, launching into seventh place in the UK charts, Ubisoft's Just Dance 3 has gone from strength to strength being crowned October's best-selling Wii title.
Ubisoft issued its own statement today, confirming that the hip-gyrating phenomenon that is Just Dance 2 once again boasted the most North American sales seen on any Wii title this October. Based on statistics from the GFK Group, the company went on to boast that the title's combined sales were already 85 per cent higher than those seen by its predecessor Just Dance 2.
"Just Dance is a blockbuster brand for Ubisoft," said Rob Cooper, Managing Director, UK at Ubisoft on the game's success. "The game's mainstream appeal has helped broaden the appeal of video games to the mass market. Ubisoft anticipates that the strong sales trend for Just Dance 3 will continue to grow as we head into the holiday season. The social aspect of the game makes it the perfect game to play during the holidays with friends and family."
