Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has shot straight to the top of the UK video game sales charts, knocking its biggest rival, Battlefield 3, to the wayside at the same time.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was also responsible for pushing Battlefield 3 down to 3rd, with FIFA 12 and Just Dance 3 occupying the next two spaces.
The spate of new releases saw Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception fall down to 6th, while there was a surprise inclusion in the Top 10 for Moshi Monsters: Moshling Zoo, which released on the Nintendo DS.
Elsewhere, the only other new entry into the Top 40 was Go Vacation on the Nintendo Wii. Expect next week's charts to be a bit more of a roller-coaster with the release of big-name titles such as Zelda and Assassin's Creed.
