Winter is coming as developer Cyanide Studio have released the debut trailer of their Game of Thrones RPG for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Based on the epic fantasy saga A Song of Ice and Fire, the game's story is being written "in conjunction" with George R. R. Martin himself. Cyanide describes the game's story as an expansion that runs parallel to the existing fiction.
Fans will join Mors of the Brothers of the Night's Watch and Alester, a Red Priest, as they traverse familiar locales across Westeros, including The Wall, Riverspring and King's Landing in a plot filled with thrilling suspense and action.
While the trailer leaves a lot to be desired, you can expect there to be at least 30 hours of play out of the Unreal Engine 3 game, plenty of weapons to loot and the ability to slow time during combat.
Game of Thrones is due out early 2012. Head on over to the official website for more information, media and some fun little trivia.
Update: Here's another clip from the game, featuring The Wall and Brothers of the Night's Watch. Enjoy.
