Anonymous Not Touching PSN, Targets Sony Executives Instead

Hacktivist group Anonymous have reportedly clarified their position on targeting Sony since releasing a video threatening the electronics company for their support of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).

PlayStation LifeStyle reported that the group handling the charge against Sony, OpSony, has decided not to take any action against PlayStation Network itself, despite initially stating that they aimed to "destroy" Sony's network.

The group has supposedly decided to take action against Sony executives instead. Personal information of Sony employees have already been posted, including credit card information. Furthermore, Anonymous is aiming to attack Sony websites by defacing it with anti-SOPA material.

While Anonymous is no longer targeting PSN, the collective has been known to differ in opinion, which may result in the formation of other groups such as the rather abrasive LulzSec.
