Second week sales of the PlayStation Vita (72,479) have prompted some Japanese retailers to cut the price of the more expensive 3G model in order to stimulate additional investment from consumers.

Some retailers are reported to have cut the price of the PlayStation Vita 3G model by as much as 20 percent as the majority of consumers were opting to buy the cheaper Wi-Fi only version.

Many Japanese gamers will surely be hoping for some more region-specific titles, as the big Vita launch title (Uncharted: Golden Abyss) was targeted at a Western audience.
