NIS America have announced that they'll be bringing Brave10 to the West, yet another series to add to their growing list of anime.
Brave10 is a modernized adaptation of the historical tales of Sanada Ten Braves, a group of ninja that aided Yukimura Sanada, a warlord from the late Sengoku period. Brave10's lead character Kirigakure Saizo wanders the lands in search for his purpose and comes to join the group of noble ninja as they fight to end the period of war in Japan.
The anime stars Daisuke Ono as the lead character (whom fans may recognize as Koizumi from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Snow Villiers from the Japanese cast of Final Fantasy XIII) and Kakihara Tetsuya (Simon from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) as Sarutobi Sasuke, the leader of the Ten Braves.
The Edo period novel itself has seen many outings in popular media, including other anime series and video games such as the Samurai Warriors and Sengoku Basara series.
More information on NIS America's Premium Edition is forthcoming, meanwhile Brave10 will start airing on January 10 on anime streaming site Crunchyroll.
