Via a job post SEGA has revealed the name of the mysterious new UK studio working on a "unique action adventure" for the PS Vita.
Dubbed Hardlight, SEGA let the new studio's name slip in a recent job posting searching for a programmer. The third SEGA studio in the UK, little is known about Hardlight's forthcoming "unique action adventure" other than that it will be released exclusively for Sony's PS Vita towards the end of 2012.
Initially reported by industry site Develop, the job listing in question clarified that Hardlight would work closely with SEGA Research and development to ensure it stayed "at the cutting edge of developments in technology, middleware and game experiences," focusing on creating, "high quality and innovative experiences for both current and future platforms" - don't get your hopes up the posting made no reference to the currently fictional Xbox 720 or PS4.
Whatever the case, SEGA will have high hopes for the new studio. In recent memory the games industry has suffered a slew of financial set backs. At the end of 2011 the company posted massive losses in its quarterly financial statement, posting a 29.9 per cent drop in revenue from the figures taken in the previous quarter.
