Just one day after its huge holiday sales, digital distribution platform Steam achieved the feat of having five million users logged into the service simultaneously.
The figures showed that just under 120,000 users were playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and 72,000 playing Counter-Strike [1.6] which came in at second place. Surprisingly at third place, it was Football Manager 2012 with 72,000 players and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Counter-Strike finishing the top 5 spots with 64,000 and 62,000 respectively.
If this is an indication of any sort, it shows that PC gaming is not dead as many people say. And it's good to see Valve's Steam service growing from strength to strength.
