David Jaffe has announced that now that Twisted Metal has been completed, he plans to leave Eat Sleep Play, the studio he founded back in 2007.

The news broke in a report from the Salt Lake Tribune, who stated that Eat Sleep Play would be suffering from layoffs and claimed that Jaffe would now be making casual games - something which Jaffe disagreed with.

"I have zero plans to make games like FARMVILLE and ANGRY BIRDS," said Jaffe. "I never said what I was doing post TM (and I'm still on TM along with ESP for the next months as we launch it and balance it in real-time and make sure it's a perfect game and continue to support it)."

Jaffe also vowed not to leave Twisted Metal until it was settled. He has promised to "stick around 2 balance & bug fix & tune" for up to three months following the game's release.
