38 Studios' debut RPG epic Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning hit stores last week, but word of a sequel is already spreading. Nothing is confirmed of course, just studio owner Curt Shilling saying "oh yeah" to Jimmy Fallon about the possibility of another game, with much enthuse no less.
According to Shilling, 38 Studios is already hard at work on their next title, supposedly Project Copernicus, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying experience. The same codename was used for Reckoning prior to the shift over to a single player game, rather than the initial MMO pitch.
Reckoning was released to exceptional critical reception, earning praise for its fantastic lore and versatile combat. It currently holds a Metacritic of 86 and scored an 8 out of 10 in our review.
