It appears that Sony is already hard at work on developing the PlayStation 4. According to Forbes, Former AMD employees have noted that the electronic company had turned to AMD to handle the system's graphics technology.

The PS3 currently uses a graphics processor designed and developed by Nvidia. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 uses technology from AMD.

Neither AMD nor Sony would comment on the statement, however AMD CFO Thomas Seifert had previously stated that gaming would be one of several contributing factors to the company's revenue growth this year.

If the PS4 is indeed in development, how long do you reckon before Sony makes an announcement?
