Electronic Arts has dished the dirt on a pre-launch campaign for Mass Effect 3 which will allow gamers on the Xbox 360 version to unlock a host of goodies before the game releases.

Mass Effect 3 Mission Command will be a new Facebook application that will allow you to send "missions" to friends in order to unlock Xbox Live Avatar items, add-ons and more. The invitation stated that the decisions you make will affect the rewards you can get, while also giving you the chance to win a custom Paragon or Renegade Xbox 360 with Kinect.

The first mission is to just sign-up, and if enough people undertake that, all users will receive a Normandy item for their Avatar. For a chance to win the Xbox 360, you'll have to take video footage of yourself - it all sounds rather exciting.

Mass Effect 3 launches at the start of March on the Xbox 360, with Kinect functionality. However, it will also be releasing at the same time on the PlayStation 3 - the first time this has happened in the history of the franchise.
